Jessica Eye returned to the win column against a gun-shy Kalindra Faria.

While Eye didn’t open up too much either, Faria seemed a tad uncomfortable with Eye’s footwork. Regardless, the fight was close in all avenues; with 2 of the 3 judges scoring the bout in favour of Eye.

Result: Jessica Eye def. Kalindra Faria via Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

#2 JJ Aldrich vs. Danielle Taylor

Danielle Taylor fought a good fight, but her size disadvantage eventually proved to be too much in this matchup.

Aldrich seemed to have Taylor’s timing down, as the latter waded into range. Eventually Aldrich started edging the smaller Taylor; eventually walking away with victor by way of decision.

Result: JJ Aldrich def. Danielle Taylor via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

#3 Mads Burnell vs. Mike Santiago

Mads Burnell and Mike Santiago engaged in a close battle of wits over the course of three rounds.

While Burnell had a slight advantage in the standup aspect throughout the fight, Santiago seemed to be opening up late in the fight. Regardless, Burnell’s early work paid dividends, as he was awarded the decision victory.
