UFC Fight Night Blaydes v Ngannou 2: Ultimate Media Day

Round 1: Alistair Overeem seemed like he was on the backfoot to start the fight, but it was all a matter of time.

Overeem had to back off again and again in the beginning as the Russian, Sergey Pavlocich came at him hard and fast with incredibly heavy shots.

The two of them clinched up, and from there it seemed Overeem had a better understanding of the fight. He hit Pavlovich with knees, and then even managed to take him down, after a big right hook.

With Pavlovich on his back, Overeem followed up in style, trying at first to get past the guard, and succeeding. The Ground and Pound followed with heavy shots which shook Pavlovich to the core.

The referee ended the fight, calling it as Pavlovich was not able to mount a defence.

Pavlovich's debut in the UFC also saw his Undefeated Streak end.
