Round 1: The fight seemed to start slow, but in the second minute, things exploded as Pedro came out firing at Shogun. Shogun stumbled and it was almost over immediately, with the two fighters scrambling on their feet for the advantage.
Pedro seemed to be ready to do damage, but soon enough it was his eyebrow which was damaged by a big fist from Shogun. The UFC fight changed on its head as Shogun was badly hurt by Pedro.

Pedro followed up and went for shot after shot. He backed him up against the cage after a huge knee and hit him with a high kick. While Pedro was bleeding, it was he who had looked better for the first four minutes.
Shogun took Pedro down, but they immediately got up again. Pedro went for the Kimura but could not get it.
Round 2: Shogun started the second round better, and closed the distance with a body lock. With both fighters on the ground, Pedro continued to look for a Kimura Lock.
The fight was fought mostly on the ground, and Shogun continued to chip away at him.
Round 3: Shogun dropped Pedro after what looked like a knee or ankle injury, and Shogun went in for the finish. After a ground and pound, it was over.
