#3. Glover Teixeira (28-7-0) vs. Ion Cutelaba (14-3-0-1) (Light Heavyweight)

Texeira vs. Cutelaba.

Former Light Heavyweight title contender Glover Teixeira looked to build upon his win against Karl Roberson from January earlier this year as he took on Moldovian fighter Ion Cutelaba, who was on a two-fight win streak.

Teixeira's gameplan was simple. Take Cutelaba down and ground out a submission victory. However, the Moldovian wasn't in the mood to make life easy for Glover.

Cutelaba stuffed all of Teixeira's takedown attempts in the first round and connected with a wide range of offence in return. Cutelaba even rocked Teixeira with a spinning back fist at one point during the first round and controlled the fight well to get the upper hand on the scorecards.

The second round began and Teixeira was starting to find his range. He hurt Cutelaba with some powerful right-hand shots and left hooks and before you knew it, assumed the full-mount position. Cutelaba resisted but eventually surrendered his back to Teixeira, who locked in the rear-naked choke.

Result: Glover Teixeira def. Ion Cutelaba via submission (rear-naked choke) (Round 2, 3:37)

Another submission win for Texeira, who notched up his second victory on the trot.
