#4. Alex Oliveira (19-6-1-2) vs. Mike Perry (13-4-0) (Welterweight)

Alex Oliveira's last fight ended in a submission loss to Gunnar Nelson at UFC 231 while Mike Perry too lost in his previous fight against Donald Cerrone.
The fight that was touted to be one of the most volatile encounters on the card did live up to the expectations.

Oliveria came in hot in the first round and landed the better shots. He initially worked on getting Perry down for a submission and even tried getting hold of his back. They got back up to their feet and Oliveria connected with a big 1-2 and a three-piece combination.
Oliveria put in the work with body kicks, crosses and combinations. All that Perry could do was to get in a few counters on the break. The first round clearly went to Oliveira.
The second round began and the unpredictable Platinum Perry came to the fore. His biggest moment of the round came early when he dropped Oliveira on his back with a powerful left hook. Perry wanted a fight and gave Oliveira the chance to get back up on his feet. A kick and a left hook were followed by an outrageous slam from Perry. Oliveira got taken down in the final few minutes of the fight and Perry took full advantage by grounding in the punches from half guard.
News from the corner between rounds revealed that Oliveira had dislocated his toes in the second round and that it was popped back into place right before the start of the final round.
Perry had the momentum on his side and he didn't let the fight slip away. He knocked back Oliveira twice in the final round with left-hand strikes. Perry connected with the more significant shots as Oliveria scouted for the counters.
It was a wild exchange as both men swung their hands while looking for the finish. In the end, Perry was just the more accurate power puncher on the night.
Result: Mike Perry def. Alex Oliveira via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
