#5. Greg Hardy (3-1-) vs. Dmitrii Smoliakov (9-2-0) (Heavyweight)

Coming off a DQ loss against Allen Crowder in his last fight, former Carlina Panthers Defensive End Greg Hardy had redemption on his mind. It's clear that the UFC sees megastar written all over Hardy, which explains why he was co-main eventing a fight night card despite having just 4 professional fights.
No disrespect intended, but his opponent this time was truly atrocious. Smoliakov attempted a few amateurish takedowns on Hardy. Hardy was hardly fazed. Smoliakov then got rocked by a string of uppercuts. He fell on his back, let Hardy enter his guard and got peppered with hammer fists. Two minutes and fifteen seconds and it was nighty night for The Life Guard.

Result: Greg Hardy def. Dmitrii Smoliakov via TKO (Round One, 2:15)
In pro wrestling circles, this would have been called a squash match and Smoliakov would have been labelled a jobber aka enhancement talent. That's exactly what he was in this case, a fighter who was used to enhance the aura of Hardy.
While it may be another win in the books for Hardy, the real test is yet to begin.
