#3. Vincente Luque (15-6-1) vs. Derrick Krantz (22-10-0) (Welterweight)

Luque vs. Krantz.

Round 1: It was a frantic start to the fight as Krantz came in hot and rocked Luque with a big overhand right. Krantz picked Luque up in the air and kept him up for while before taking him down to the mat.

Krantz got Luque's back and loosened him up with a few punches. He looked to create an opening for the rear naked choke.

Luque got back up to his feet and got back his composure. He connected with a knee to Krant' gut and followed it up with a quick left punch. Krantz' knees gave up and Luque applied the finishing touches with short right strikes.

The referee stepped in and stopped the fight.

Result: Vincente Luque def. Derrick Krantz via TKO (Round 1, 03:52)

Luque weathered the early storm and notched up his 11th first round finish. This was the Brazilian's 5th straight victory.
