Round 1: Heinisch wasted no time in making his intentions known as he used the leg kicks and looked the more lighter fighter on the feet. Junior attempted to get his combinations going before taking Heinisch to the ground.
Junior held onto Heinisch's from the back and the grip was unbreakable. Heinisch kept trying but he kept getting taken down. That was the story of the first round as Junior enjoyed nearly 4 minutes of grappling dominance.

10-8 Junior
Round 2: Heinisch looked much better in the second round as he connected with a looping right and a few leg kicks. Junior returned a leg kick of his own. Junior level changed seamlessly and ducked under a Heinisch strike.
Junior took Heinisch down and began working on a potential submission. However, Heinisch turned the tides and got on top of Junior. Heinisch kept himself busy as he got points on the scorecard with short right punches from the side.
Heinisch maintained top control for the majority of the round and finished off strong with some classic ground and pound.

Round 3: Heinisch continued with the good momentum as his striking was crisper. He found himself on top of Junior again and he did his bit to top the scales in his favour by constantly landing shots from all angles.
There was an engaging scramble midway through the round as Junior tried to get into a position where he could get a submission locked in from. Heinisch ended on a high with some big shots while staying in the top control position.

Result: Ian Heinisch def. Antonio Carlos Junior via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Henisch used his wrestling background to nullify Junior's threat on the mat. The win puts a number beside his name on the ranking. Well-deserved.
