#3. Josh Emmett vs. Mirsad Bektic (Featherweight)

Emmett vs. Bektic.

Josh Emmett and Mirsad Bektic came into the next fight of the night with the intention to break move up the rankings as they stood at #9 and #12 respectively. The Featherweight contest didn't l even make it out of the first round as Josh Emmett notched up an emphatic first-round finish.

Both fighters looked to land haymakers but none of them connected as three minutes of the fight went by. Emmett mixed it up with low kicks and shots to the body. He fired off an overhand right and began exchanging blows with Bekctic in the centre of the Octagon.

Emmett connected with a jab that sent Bektic down. Emmett pushed forward and connected with short punches. Bektic ate a short punch below his armpit after which, Emmett swarmed on him to end the fight with a few additional strikes.

Result: Josh Emmett def. Mirsab Bektic via TKO (Punches) (4:25, Round One)

This was Emmett's second win on the trot and should be enough to warrant him a top-10 fighter for his next Octagon appearance.
