The Octagon comeback of Uriah Faber in front of his hometown fans lasted for merely 46 seconds. The California Kid showed no signs of ring rust as he wrapped things up quickly against Ricky Simon.
Faber kicked off the fight with an overhand right which was countered with a left hook by Simon. Faber attempted another massive overhand right and this time, he landed flush. Simon was flattened by its impact and all that Faber had to do was to apply the finishing touches before the referee stepped in to put Simon out of his misery.

Now that's a return for the ages. Getting a first-round knockout in front of his beloved hometown fans - Faber couldn't have asked for a better script for his first fight in nearly three years. At 40 years old, Faber may still have enough juice left in the gas tank to make one last run for the Bantamweight title.
