Round 1: Both men tried to get their range in place in the opening minute of the fight. Bontorin got in a few outside leg kicks. They engaged in a clinch with Borg having his back against the cage.

Bontorin attempted a leg trip takedown but Borg kept his posture and tried to create some separation.

Surprisingly enough, it was Borg who managed to score a takedown a few moments later. Borg got into full guard and attempted some ground and pound from the top. Bontorin got his back against the cage and slowly got up to his feet.

Borg held onto his opponent's back, transitioned to the single leg and landed another takedown. Borg got back to the elbows and kept him on the ground until the end.

Round 2: Borg shot for the single leg right out of the gate. Bontorin defended it well but gave in to the relentless pressure.

Borg jumped onto Bontorin's back and tried to lock in the RNC. He couldn't get the underhooks, however, as Bontorin focussed on shaking Borg off his back while being on his feet.

Borg got in the body triangle and landed punches from the back. Borg kept the punches coming in, which softened Bontorin up for a potential rear naked choke. Borg was back on his feet but it didn't take him much time to take the fight to the mat again.

Borg was in side control this time. He passed to half guard and landed a few elbows from the top. He transitioned to full guard but Bontorin scrambled to get back on his feet. Ray got his back again with Bontorin on his feet, however, the round ended before he could get a tight RNC.

Round 3: Bontori looked desperate for a finish as the final round began. He clinched and found himself on his back on the mat yet again.

Borg landed his sixth takedown of the fight and kept hold of Bontorin's back. Rogerio got back up twice before getting dumped back down on two more occasions, stretching Borg's takedown count to a staggering eight. Borg continued to work for the RNC and all that Bontorin was doing was survive.

Borg was active as he landed punches from the back. Bontorin was getting rag-dolled at this point as he made it to the end of the round on his back. Pure domination from Borg.

Result: Ray Borg def. Rogerio Bontorin via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-25)

Borg outwrestled Bontorin to get his second consecutive win in the books.
