Round 2: Ryan Benoit seemed to catch Tim Elliot early in the second round with a kick that was close to the head. Benoit appeared to be more precise with his striking and he landed a takedown, only to be nearly caught in a guillotine trap. Elliot lost the grip after trying to adjust it. Ryan Benoit got a kneebar. Tim Elliot was in visible pain but was tough enough not to tap. An adjustment from Benoit saw him lose the grip but they got tangled. Tim Elliot wanted to get the angle.

Round 3: Tim Elliot got the early pressure and pressed Benoit against the fence. Benoit landed a few solid strikes and started to chase the knockout. Benoit landed a few short shots to the head and the final minute of the round saw them try to unload.
