The main event of this UFC Fight Night card was supposed to feature a fight between Nassourdine Imavov, ranked 12th among middleweight contenders, and Kelvin Gastelum, ranked 13th. However, Gastelum has pulled out from the fight due to a mouth injury. The UFC has confirmed his withdrawal and replaced him with Sean Strickland. The bout is set to take place in the Light Heavyweight division.

Geoff Neal and Shavkat Rakhmonov were scheduled to fight in the welterweight division as the co-main event, but Neal withdrew due to an injury on December 29. The bout has been rescheduled for UFC 285.

The new co-main event is scheduled to be a featherweight bout between Dan Ige and Damon Jackson.
