Michael Bisping did what he does best -- he won

Following his win over Anderson Silva, Bisping challenged Luke Rockhold for the UFC Middleweight Title.

He was never supposed to be the next person to fight Rockhold. In fact, Rockhold had been expected to face Chris Weidman. An injury to Weidman meant that UFC needed a replacement, and even then they chose 'Jacare' Ronaldo Souza. The choice was hampered one more time, as Souza too, was unable to compete.

This meant that Bisping would face Rockhold, in a fight that would shake up the UFC Middleweight Division. Rockhold had beaten Bisping before, and on top of that the contender only had 17 days to prepare for what was to be the biggest fight of his life up to that point.

That did not matter.

On the day, when he entered the Octagon, he won the UFC Championship he had been coveting his entire career, by knocking out Luke Rockhold in convincing fashion in the very first round.
