The Canadian UFC star is one of the biggest draws when it comes to the Canadian MMA market. But now that GSP is unlikely to show inside the Octagon in the next UFC’s event in Toronto, the Canadian fans have taken it upon themselves to protest.
GSP's fans are now ready to boycott UFC 206 if 'Rush' isn't going to show up!
Twitter is now bursting with ‘#GSP’ and ‘#BoycottUFC206’, and similar tweets.

Only last week, GSP claimed that he was a free agent as per his lawyer, stating that his contract had expired after the UFC failed to offer him a match prior to a given deadline.
However, the UFC responded by opposing his claims, stating that the former welterweight kingpin is still ‘legally’ under the contract with the UFC and is bound to the contract. GSP’s lawyer criticises the company’s contract stating that it is something ‘from the 1940’s’ and ‘UFC won’t get away for long with it’.
Only a few days ago, there were rumours of GSP headlining the Toronto event in Canada, and so he expressed his desire to fight on the card and break his three-year hiatus from the sport. However, his contract negotiations appear to be going nowhere.
During GSP’s previous stint in the UFC, fighters were able to get any sponsors of their choice. In GSP’s case, this would mean tonnes of sponsorship money. But now that the fighters are forced to use Reebok gears, GSP wants the amount covered in his contract.
St-Pierre also expressed his willingness to fight his former rival Nick Diaz for a second time on his return. But only the UFC will decide GSP’s next move. We can only hope for GSP’s betterment.
