What's the story?
UFC 234 marked the return of Octagon legend Anderson 'The Spider' Silva, who in his first fight in almost two years, was defeated by upstart Israel Adesanya via unanimous decision.
However, following his loss though, Silva went on record and called out his arch-rival Nick Diaz, and former two-division UFC Champion Conor McGregor had a very interesting proposition at the same time as well.
In case you didn't know...
Having enjoyed a Middleweight Championship reign of 2,457 days, Anderson Silva is considered as one of the greatest fighters to ever step foot in the Octagon. Having last competed in 2017 against Derek Brunson, 'The Spider' finally made his return to the Octagon earlier today.

After being suspended by USADA, Silva made his emotional Octagon comeback against UFC up and comer Israel Adesanya, who looks up to Silva as his biggest idol and motivation.
The heart of the matter
Despite suffering a defeat to Israel Adesanya, the returning Anderson Silva remained confident about the fact that this definitely wasn't the last of 'The Spider' in the UFC Octagon.
In his post-fight interview, Silva stated that he is willing to fight in his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil before eventually hanging up his gloves. Further, Silva noted that he is willing to share the Octagon with rival Nick Diaz for the second time in his career if the UFC gives him an opportunity to fight in Brazil.
One man who was quick to respond to Silva's proposition was none other than Conor McGregor, who seemingly agreed to complete his iconic trilogy against the younger Diaz brother, Nate.
'The Notorious One' took to Twitter and claimed that he is willing to fight Nate Diaz in Brazil in the same card as Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz.
What's next?
As of right now, Conor McGregor is seemingly set to return to the Octagon against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone. However, nothing has been confirmed yet regarding McGregor's next fight.
