Among the injured were Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg who were scheduled to fight at Saturday night's UFC 223 event at Barclays. The two have since then been taken off the UFC 223 card owing to the severity of their injuries as well as Lobov, who would have had his first fight on Saturday.
The heart of the matter
According to the reports, McGregor has turned himself into the authorities and is expected to be fined or suspended by UFC, if not both.
The investigation is going on although the New York Police Department hasn't brought any charges against him; neither is he under arrest currently. However, that might change at any moment depending on the findings of the investigation.
What's next?
Their reckless actions ended up costing Lobov his first UFC fight on Saturday and it is yet to be seen what repercussions befall McGregor following the investigation.
