As revealed by ESPN's Brett Okamoto, the UFC is reportedly planning to book Corey Anderson vs. Jan Blachowicz for a Fight Night event next year.
The fight will be to determine a new No.1 contender for the Light Heavyweight title and it could headline the event scheduled to take place in New Mexico on February 15th.
Anderson and Blachowicz have already faced each other back in in 2015 at UFC 191. 'Overtime' came out on top during their first meeting with a unanimous decision victory.

Blachowicz, who got off to a slow start in the UFC, has just lost once in his last seven fights and currently sits at No.6 in the rankings. The Polish fighter is coming off a five-round decision win against Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza, but his unimpressive performance at the Sao Paulo event against the former Strikeforce Champion was certainly not enough to warrant him a direct shot at the Light Heavyweight Championship.
The No.5 ranked Anderson has been on a tear lately as the former TUF winner is on a four-fight winning streak. He shut down the Johnny Walker hype train in his last fight and has been relentless in his efforts to get a shot at Jon Jones' title.
Bones will put the Light Heavyweight strap on the line against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 on February 9th, 2020.
