As we previously mentioned, former UFC lightweight champion Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis has missed weight for his scheduled interim featherweight title bout with Max Holloway, leaving ‘Blessed’ as the only man that can possibly win the title Saturday night (December 10, 2016).
UFC President Dana White also chimed in on the situation on TSN’s Sports Centre, claiming that he thinks Pettis is too old and too big for the 145-pound weight division:
"I'm not happy, but listen, it happens," UFC president Dana White said Friday on TSN SportsCentre (courtesy of MMA Fighting). "Believe me when I tell you, Anthony Pettis wanted to make weight.
He's been working for months for this day. He came in, when he landed here in Toronto, he was 10 pounds (over), so he should've made the weight.
What that tells you is he's too old and he's too big to make that weight, is my opinion. So we'll see where we go from here."

White absolutely hates it when fighters miss weight, noting his issues with UFC welterweight Kelvin Gastelum as a prime example as the American has missed the 170-pound weight limit on numerous occasions.

With Pettis is now showing struggles to make the 145-pound weight limit one can only assume that White is considering forcing ‘Showtime’ to go back up to his former championship weight class of 155 pounds that is currently headed by ‘The Notorious One’ Conor McGregor.
Lots of unsettled business is left for Pettis at the lightweight division, including a rematch against Rafael Dos Anjos, the man who took his title from him being a possible matchup, as well as a super fight with division champ Conor McGregor.
What do you think is next for Pettis after missing weight?
