What's the story?
Prior to the upcoming UFC 228 event, top Welterweight Title contender Darren Till has gone on record to claim that the Liverpool fighter is apparently willing to square off against Kamaru Usman as a replacement if champion Tyron Woodley somehow fails to make it to the fight.
In case you didn't know...
UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley is currently considered as one of the fiercest fighters in the entire UFC roster and during a recent interview on Aerial Helwani's MMA Show, the 185-pound champion claimed that he's apparently not willing to fight Kamaru Usman as a replacement for Darren Till.

With much due respect to other Welterweight fighters, Woodley has claimed that he isn't willing to fight anyone on 24-hour notice and thus eventually went on to decline a potential fight with Usman for UFC 228.
The heart of the matter
During a recent interactive session with the media at the UFC Performance Institute, top UFC Welterweight fighter Darren Till claimed noted that Kamaru Usman is apparently playing backup for former, who feels like that he's the only person in the entire UFC to ever miss weight. (H/T: MMA Fighting)
“[Usman] is a backup for me,” Till told the gathered media at the UFC Performance Institute on Tuesday following his open workout. To be honest, I don’t really care. I feel like I’m the only fighter that’s ever missed weight in the UFC, to be honest. When we talk about weight now it’s, ‘Darren Till’. I missed weight, people need to just get over it.”
Additionally, Till also stated that he's absolutely going to destroy Woodley come September 9th and doesn't care about anything else.
“If Usman is there and ready and by some chance I miss weight…Tyron says he’s not going to fight him I’ve seen. It is what it is, they’ve got the backup, they’ve told him and he’s doing what he’s told, so I’m not arsed. I’m just focused on Friday making 170, and then Saturday; going in and absolutely destroying Tyron Woodley. That’s all I’m focusing on now. I’m not focusing on what she says or what he says online, or what Usman says, or what anybody says…I don’t really care. It’s Darren ‘I don’t care’ Till.”
What's next?
Darren Till is currently scheduled to challenge Tyron Woodley for the UFC Welterweight Championship at UFC 228, which is set to take place on the 9th of September at the American Airlines Center.
