Dominick Cruz is one of the most dominant UFC champions of all time, and he is looking to continue his reign with another successful title defence against Cody Garbrandt. Cruz has quite the history with Garbrandt’s camp, Team Alpha Male, as he has defeated the camp’s founder, Urijah Faber twice, as well as former member TJ Dillashaw.
Here what the Dominator ha to say about Team Alpha Male (courtesy: mmafighting.com):
“What the difference is, is that he comes from a storyline of guys that I’ve been beating down for 10-plus years from a camp called Alpha Fail and his biggest coach is a guy that I’ve been smashing for 10-plus years. It’s just there. It’s all there for the taking. It’s all there for everybody on their entire squad that’s going to be sad and crying again after I smash their boy. So it’s perfect for me. I love it.”

Cruz and Garbrandt have been exchanging harsh words over social media leading up to the contest. In addition to the online banter, the two almost got into a physical altercation backstage at a UFC event, earlier this year.
Garbrandt is undefeated so far in his MMA career, owning a barrage of knockouts on his record due to his heavy hands that have been the downfall of all but one who have shared the cage with him.
‘The Dominator’ will certainly be the biggest test of ‘No Love’s’ career, as he is one of the most difficult men to hit with his unique movement abilities. Cruz is riding high after returning to the sport following a two-year layoff to pick up right where he left off, by winning the title again and is looking to defend his title for the second time in a row since making his return.
Cruz and Garbrandt will meet in the co-main event of UFC 207 for the bantamweight champion live on pay-per-view (PPV), from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 30, 2016.
