The rumours of a fight between UFC Bantamweight Champ Dominick Cruz and Cody Garbrandt have turned into reality. Last night the UFC confirmed the news via Twitter. The UFC finally granted the bantamweight prospect a title shot at Cruz in Las Vegas at UFC 207. Now it was time for ‘No Love’ to hype the fight and so had a few words for his foe:
Garbrandt is coming off a victory over Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 202 that marked his fifth win inside the Octagon. Later, he called out Cruz, and the ‘Dominator’ agreed on FS1 saying that he would have no problem beating the young bantamweight prospect.

Garbrandt is also undefeated with a record of ten wins and no losses. Four of five of his wins have come via a TKO/KO.
One wouldn’t expect Cruz to sit back in silence. After the UFC had made the official announcement, Cruz tweeted a jab of his own:
Cruz is arguably the most dominant Bantamweight in the world and is a two-time UFC bantamweight champion. Last January, he defeated TJ Dillashaw to become the champion once again. Later he sealed the trilogy with a victory over Urijah Faber, out striking him to retain his belt.
Now his eyes are set on the fighter who is on his way to becoming the pound for pound #1 in the UFC.
UFC 207 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena on December 31st, 2016. This will be the last UFC event of this calendar year. The event will headline a match between the returning Ronda Rousey and Amanda Nunes for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship.
