In case you didn't know...
Rachel Ostovich has had an extremely disappointing time in 2018 so far. In her UFC career, Ostovich lost to Montana De La Rosa in July of 2018, making her record in mixed martial arts, 1-1.
Her husband, Arnold Berdon, was also a mixed martial arts fighter in his own right. He was last seen in Titan FC 50 in June of this year, where he won a Unanimous Decision.
Recently, rumours of a domestic violence issue concerning Rachel Ostovich and her husband came up a few days ago.
The matter was serious, with reports coming in that Ostovich was a victim of domestic violence and had to be admitted into the hospital with several injuries, including a broken Orbital bone.
The heart of the matter
It has now been confirmed that Arnold Berdon has been arrested on charges of second-degree attempted murder of his wife.
His family member told TMZ that the allegations of his assault on his wife would be disputed in court 'vigorously'.
Rachel Ostovich was granted a temporary restraining order days after the initial reports that she had been a victim of domestic violence.
What's next?
Due to the assault and the injuries she contracted, Ostovich's upcoming fight on the first-ever UFC show on ESPN+ had to be booted.
She had been set to face Paige Vanzant, but now will need to focus on recovering from the physical injuries, and the inevitable mental scarring which accompanies such an ordeal.
We here at Sportskeeda, wish Rachel Ostovich a speedy recovery!
