The aforementioned rankings do indicate that certain notable fighters such as Jon Jones and Anderson Silva have been removed from the rankings owing to their respective failures of steroid tests under USADA testing.

What’s next?

The UFC’s next event is UFC on FOX: Jacare vs. Brunson 2 that will take place at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on January 27th.

Author’s take

The UFC is taking corrective measures in improving its ranking system after considerably negative feedback in 2017 pertaining to said system.

It’s great to see Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic finally get the respect and recognition they deserve as both champions have been long overlooked in the UFC. Do you agree with the rankings sent out by the UFC? Sound off in the comments!
