What's the story?
The UFC on FOX 31 night at Milwaukee witnessed a grand entry into the main card thanks to an instantaneous first-round submission victory by Charles Oliviera. Following his loss to Jim Miller back in the day at UFC 124, Oliviera went on to make amends to his game, to secure a rear-naked choke submission win in his much-awaited rematch against the same opponent, eight long years later.

He began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the tender age of twelve, won his first big title fight in 2003 as a white belt, and went on to professionally fight in the sport of mixed martial arts by the age of eight.

Over the years, he has amassed notable victories over the likes of quality opponents such as Jeremy Stephens, Darren Elkins, Myles Jury, and Will Brooks. His last competition within the Octagon came against Christos Giagos, who he beat via the guillotine choke, at UFC 225.
Jim Miller is an American mixed martial artist with an impressive ten-year run in the business with the UFC. He is, at the moment, a contender in the lightweight category of the UFC, who holds the record for the most number of wins in the history of the UFC's lightweight division. He began mixed martial arts training in the year 2005, and has a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt to his name under Jamie Cruz.
During his last appearance in the Octagon at UFC 228, Miller went on to beat Alex White via a rear naked choke hold, in just over a minute into the first round of their fight.

The heart of the matter
Coming into this rematch at UFC-Milwaukee, both fighters looked seasoned to take each other on in a three-five minute round lightweight bout. As the fight began, Charles Oliviera was seen maintaining a traditional Muay Thai stance, in order to eliminate the chance of an early takedown. Miller went for a hard leg kick that was absorbed by Oliviera, who subsequently took him to the ground, after.
Once the fight reached the ground, Oliviera seemed to have complete control over the proceedings of the fight. After an initial scuffle to get a hold of Miller's back, Oliviera established control by locking in a perfectly timed rear naked choke. The fight came to an end at just one minute and fifteen seconds of round number one, with Charles Oliviera avenging his loss and claiming his position back in the lightweight division.
