#3 Lightweight: Edson Barboza vs. Dan Hooker

It was difficult to watch Dan Hooker stay up after Edson Barboza destroyed him

Round 1: Both fighters tried each other out in the beginning, testing with kicks and jabs to see if they could get each other's attention. Barboza landed a good body kick, which got Hooker's attention. Hooker landed a good shot, but Barboza landed a stunning kick and a head shot which ricker Hooker. Hooker came in towards Barboza, but Barboza landed two knees and three big head shots which Hooker was somehow able to absorb.

Round 2: Barboza continued as he went into Hooker with two leg kicks which hurt Hooker badly. He kept shooting at him, but Hooker tried to close the distance to stop Barboza. The fight turned more into a brawl as Hooker stayed in distance and hit with good shots. Hooker landed elbows, but Barboza knocked him down. Barboza tried to follow Hooker down, but ended up on the bottom and grappling.

Barboza managed to to get up and followed up on Hooker with three head shots on the drop each of which shook Hooker. Hooker kept taking big shots, somehow still absorbing them. Hooker nearly dropped on the referee, and had to get up as Barboza threw head shot after head shot. Barboza shot three more head shots, but Hooker would not go down. He managed to stay on his feet.

Round 3: The third round saw Barboza hit Hooker with shot after shot. Hooker hardly replied as he was not more than a punching bag. At this point the fight should have been stopped way earlier as Daniel Cormier pointed out repeatedly in commentary. The referee finally stopped when Hooker crumbled in a heap.

Results: Edson Barboza defeated Dan Hooker via TKO (3rd Round, 2 minutes and 19 seconds)
