#3 Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Mike Perry
Santiago Ponzinibbio finally seems to have shored up the holes in his striking defense. The Argentine masterfully evaded Perry’s wild punches throughout.
Ponzinibbio used the first round to gauge the distance and get Perry’s timing down, and although the latter had his moments over the course of the fight, the Argentine kept his composure and maintained a long-range approach with Perry.
With ‘Platinum’ Perry being a hellacious KO puncher and dangerous finisher, Ponzinibbio stayed cautious until the very end. The latter could’ve pursued the finish in Round 3, but chose not to do so owing to Perry’s wide hooks. In the end, Ponzinibbio walked away as the victor across the judges’ scorecards.
