Sam Alvey vs. Nate Marquardt
An interesting fight here between Alvey, a devastating knockout puncher and Marquardt who is a well-rounded veteran. Marquardt keeps picking up wins just when everyone thinks he is finished and starts to write him off, like his knockout wins over C.B. Dollaway and Tamdan McCrory.

He has good skills everywhere but striking is his main asset. However, exchanging with Alvey could be very dangerous for Marquardt, whose chin has shown signs of weakness in recent years.
Alvey is a devastating knockout puncher; he is patient and will wait until he can find the perfect moment to unleash his shot. His excellent takedown defence allows him to fight like this and it is working well as he is currently on a three-fight winning streak. I think he can find Marquardt’s chin and extend that run.
Prediction: Sam Alvey via Knockout
Raphael Assuncao vs. Aljamain Sterling
Sterling is a very talented young fighter and began his UFC career with a four-fight win streak before losing a close fight to Bryan Caraway last year. He has an incredibly effective grappling game with strong takedowns and great control in top position and has he has progressed in his career by adding a kicking game which helps him when he is on the outside.
Assuncao was on a seven-fight winning streak before losing to T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 200. He has excellent BJJ and has developed quite a slick counter punching game in recent years.
Sterling has all the tools to win here but his inexperience may cost him similar to how it did against Caraway. I think Sterling will have made the necessary improvements in his game and take a step forward.
Prediction: Aljamain Sterling via Decision
Li Jingliang vs. Bobby Nash
Nash is making his UFC debut here after compiling an 8-1 record on the regional circuit. He has a patient striking game with good power in his hands and is a takedown threat, but we should learn a lot more about him here.
Li likes to throw volume on the feet with both hands and feet and if he gets a takedown he has a smothering top control game. That should be enough to see him through here.
Prediction: Li Jingliang via Decision
Luis Henrique da Silva vs. Jordan Johnson
Silva is a dangerous fighter with power in all of his strikes and a good submission game. But wrestling is definitely his weak spot, which makes Johnson a terrible match up for him. The UFC debutant is a wrestler by trade and if Silva hasn’t improved his takedown defence since his fight with Paul Craig, he could be in for a rough night.
Prediction: Jordan Johnson via Decision
Alessio Di Chirico vs. Eric Spicely
Both of these men are 1-1 in their UFC careers so far, with Spicely scoring a big upset over Thiago Santos in his last outing while Di Chirico bested Garreth McLellan in his last fight.
Spicely is a submission expert but Di Chirico is the more well-rounded fighter. He is also a much better athlete and I think that will be the difference here.
Prediction: Alessio Di Chirico via Knockout
Marcos Rogerio de Lima vs. Jeremy Kimball
Kimball is a brawler who is stepping in on short notice to make his UFC debut here against de Lima. While De Lima has been very inconsistent in his UFC run so far, he puts his all into everything he does, with massive power in his strikes both standing and on the ground.
De Lima has issues with his gas tank that Kimball could take advantage of if he can drag the fight out but I think this one will be over quickly.
Prediction: Marcos Rogerio de Lima via Knockout
