Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson, an American mixed martial artist, karate practitioner, and model. He competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight division. As of July 2023, he is ranked #7 in the UFC welterweight standings.

Thompson was born in Simpsonville, South Carolina. In addition to two brothers, he has two sisters. Thompson's father, Ray Thompson, a former professional kickboxer and the head trainer at Simpsonville, South Carolina's Upstate Karate, introduced him to the martial arts when he was just three years old.

At the age of 15, Thompson began participating in kickboxing and karate tournaments. He is a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, American Kickboxing, and Tetsushin-ryū Kempo. He studies Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with his brother-in-law, Carlos Machado. Thompson is the head trainer of Upstate Karate's kids karate program and a 2001 high school graduate.
