Liam Harrison is doing whatever it takes to continue training with an injured knee.
‘Hitman’ is a fighter who can’t be kept out of the gym, regardless of his physical status. The 37-year-old recently had knee surgery stemming from his last ONE Championship Muay Thai bout against Nong-O Hama. Most fighters would take some time off to recover, but Harrison is cut from a different cloth.
Harrison updated his fans with a social media post showing him throwing punches while sitting down. The video was posted on Instagram with the caption:
“Still hit harder than 90 percent of fighters out there sat down ….can’t wait to stand back up again and train properly but no rush just yet🥊 💣 @yokkao @andybadco1 #boxing #padwork #crippledfighter”

Harrison made his ONE debut in 2018 at featherweight. After losing his first two fights against Petchmorakot Petchyindee and Rodlek PK.Saenchai, the three-time Muay Thai world champion moved down to bantamweight.
‘Hitman’ found success in his new division. He secured two first-round knockouts against Mohammed Bin Mahmoud and Muangthai PK.Saenchai, leading to a world championship opportunity against Nong-O. Unfortunately for Harrison, he lost by a first-round knockout and suffered the knee injury that led to surgery.

Liam Harrison missed out on an opportunity to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing match because of his knee surgery. With that said, the 37-year-old is still willing to make jokes despite his tough situation. Harrison posted another video on Instagram of him training his striking while sitting down, with the caption saying:
“@onechampionship I challenge anyone In the division to a wheel chair fight whilst my leg heals … keeping the hands moving today with @darrellkendall_ #boxing #muaythai #padwork @yokkao”
It's unclear when Harrison will be able to fight again, but the Brit still has plenty of gas left in the tank. Depending on his recovery timeline, there is a possibility that ‘Hitman’ enters the $1 million Openweight Muay Thai Grand Prix that is being held by ONE Championship in 2023. He can also return to the bantamweight Muay Thai division, where he’s currently ranked No.4.
