Nong-O Hama posted an Instagram video of a recent Muay Thai seminar in Canada.

Some places in the US and Canada have high-level Muay Thai teachers, but nothing compares to the knowledge in Thailand. Nong-O was born and raised in Thailand, and now he's helping “the art of eight limbs" grow by holding seminars. The 8x ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion recently shared footage of his trip to Canada on Instagram with the caption:

“Happy to see you guys 🍁🇨🇦 NongO Muaythai seminar in Canada 💪🏽 #muaythai #onechampionship #worldchampion”

Nong-O made his ONE Championship debut in April 2018. Since then, the Muay Thai phenom has won all 10 bouts, including wins over Saemapetch Fairtex, Liam Harrison, Rodlek PK, Saenchai, and more. He last fought in January, defending his bantamweight throne against Alaverdi Ramaznov with a third-round knockout.

Nong-O Hama returns to the Circle at ONE Fight Night 9

Dating back to November 2019, Nong-O Hama has defeated all six of his opponents via knockout. Nong-O’s last five opponents are the five ranked bantamweight Muay Thai fighters, leaving him with a need for a fresh challenge.

ONE Championship recently announced Nong-O’s next opponent on Instagram by saying:

“🤜 BANGER 💥 ALERT 🤛 Dominant ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama defends his crown for a record eighth time when he takes on former flyweight Muay Thai king Jonathan Haggerty on April 21 at ONE Fight Night 9 on Prime Video! @nongogaiyanghadao @jhaggerty_”

After losing back-to-back bouts against Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Jonathan Haggerty bounced back with a win against Taiki Naito in December 2020. Haggerty won another flyweight bout against Mongkolpetch Petchyindee before taking on Vladimir Kuzmin at a catchweight of roughly 148 pounds.

‘The General’ defeated Kuzmin by decision, and he must have liked the decreased weight cut. Haggerty has decided to leave the flyweight division with the hopes of upsetting Nong-O for the bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship. The intriguing bout goes down on April 21 at ONE Fight Night 9, which can be seen live and for free by North American Prime Video subscribers.
