Before Superbon and Nong-O fight in their respective main events at ONE Championship this month, they’ve been sharpening each other in Thailand.

The two have been training at Khun Suek Muay Thai in Krabi, Thailand, which is right across the bay from Phuket.

Superbon Singha Mawynn recently posted a video of him and Nong-O Gaiyanghadao doing some light sparring at the gym.

While only “playing” at a light pace to avoid injury so close to their big fights, the Muay Thai strikers will be in full force against their opponents this month.

First up is Superbon, who headlines ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video against Belarusian Chingiz Allazov. The bout will be a defense of Superbon’s featherweight kickboxing world title, as Allazov won the ONE featherweight kickboxing World Grand Prix last year and earned a shot at the belt.

Nong-O will then work in the main event the following week, fighting Russian Alaverdi Ramazanov at ONE Lumpinee 1. He’ll be defending his bantamweight Muay Thai world title in the first of a series of events held at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok this year by ONE Championship.

Superbon doesn’t believe Allazov is any better than previous ONE opponents

At 32 years old, a lifetime of competing in professional Muay Thai fighting has allowed Superbon to see it all.

He also believes that his upcoming kickboxing opponent, Chingiz Allazov, has nothing different to show than foes he’s already beaten in ONE Championship.

Speaking to ONE Championship, Superbon gave his evaluation of how Chingiz Allazov compares to his other opponents in ONE:

“Surely, he is a strong opponent. He just won the World Grand Prix tournament. He is the same level as Giorgio Petrosyan, Marat, or even Sittichai. He is one of the best kickboxers in ONE. But still, for me, he’s not better than Petrosyan, Marat, or Sittichai. If I’m not careless I will never lose to him. And careless is not in my dictionary.”

Allazov is a former K-1 and Kunlun kickboxing champion and is on a three-fight win streak, two by first-round knockout. The world title fight has been scheduled three different times in the last year, each time canceled due to a different fighter’s injury, and with each schedule, the fight grows in scale.

ONE Fight Night 6 takes place on January 13th in Bangkok, Thailand, featuring three world title fights. Both the lightweight and bantamweight world titles are on the line in the main and co-main events, as well as the flyweight grappling world title.

The event also features a mixed-rule contest between atomweight MMA Grand Prix winner Stamp Fairtex and Muay Thai veteran Anissa Meksen. ONE Fight Night 6 airs on Amazon Prime for North American subscribers in US prime time.
