No. 1 bantamweight contender Fabricio Andrade intends to cross John Lineker off of his hitlist with a massive red eviction stamp over his name.
The Brazilian phenom is gearing up for his highly-anticipated rematch against divisional rival ‘Hands of Stone’ John Lineker after their first match in October ended in a no-contest. With their bout rescheduled, Andrade is counting down the days to February 24 in order to finish what he started.
After defeating five combatants on his rise to the mountaintop, Andrade feels like the time has come for a new era in MMA. Reposting a powerful image of his resume, ‘Wonder Boy’ hyped up the fans with the caption that read:
“We're ready to add another name #andnew #onefightnight7”

Fans reacted wildly on Instagram, with one saying:
“John Lineker(R3 KO).”
Another fan added:
“John Lineker should be there. He got decimated in the first fight.”
Fabricio Andrade was devastated when his last match against Lineker ended early, especially after coming close to finishing the fight in the third round. Everything was in Andrade’s favor from the start, which added even more insult to injury.
Lineker was no longer eligible to reclaim the belt even if he had beaten Andrade that night. He failed to meet the hydration and weight standards and was consequently fined 20% of his purse. Everything that could have gone wrong for Lineker, went wrong.
Andrade, however, is comforted by the fact that he almost beat Lineker. The Brazilian standout has a blueprint on how to defeat him, so it’s up to him to execute it.

Fabricio Andrade says Stephen Loman’s ground game against Bibiano Fernandes surprised him
Fabricio Andrade might have to update his hit list again if he claims the belt this month. Team Lakay representative and former Brave FC bantamweight champion Stephen Loman is gunning for a shot at the world title.
The Filipino standout boasts a 3-0 record under the promotion, with his latest victory coming at the expense of former ONE bantamweight king Bibiano Fernandes in November 2022.
Sitting at No. 3 in the rankings, Loman has a good chance of fighting Andrade in the near future. Though Andrade doesn’t necessarily feel threatened by him, he gives credit where credit is due.
Fabricio Andrade told SCMP MMA:
“I was surprised Loman was able to control Bibiano when they were on the ground, when he was on the top, he was able to control and ground and pound, that was good because Bibiano was good on the ground but like he’s not on his prime, you know.”
