UFC president Dana White has confirmed to UFC Tonight's Ariel Helwani on Wednesday, that Fabricio Werdum would face Cain Velasquez in a rematch for the heavyweight title. The date for the fight has yet to be decided.
Werdum claimed the title for the first time when he defeated Cain in the third round via submission in their last outing. The fight that was originally supposed to take place in 2014 got stalled due to Cain's injury and as a result Werdum had to face Mark Hunt for the interim title before beating Cain at UFC 188 for the undisputed belt.
Cain was visibly exhausted in the third round of the fight due to the altitude of Mexico and will be eager to be back with a bang. He would surely be aching to regain the title with a vengeance.

According to officials, the fight is most likely to take place at the end of 2015 or early 2016.
In a recent podcast, Matt "The Immortal" Brown has claimed that Jon Jones is a class apart and is truly unbeatable in the Light Heavyweight division. He further went on to say that if Jones moved to the Heavyweight division, he would be equally devastating and would steamroll through the whole division.
"I wouldn't give anybody a chance against Jones honestly. Even at heavyweight, I think Jones would probably win the heavyweight title if he wanted. He'd probably have to actually train and build his body for the heavyweights and be properly prepared, etcetera. But yeah, you know." says Brown.
Jones who since debuting in 2009 in the UFC has gone through all the competition and has defended his title a record seven times before being stripped of the title due to the hit and run incident. If he does move to the 265-pound division, a fight against the returning Fedor surely would be the best option and every fight fans dream fight although it would be an easy one for Bones as considered by many.
