Dricus du Plessis, born on January 14, 1994, is a professional MMA fighter from South Africa. He is the current middleweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Before joining the UFC, he competed in the middleweight division of the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC), where he held the titles of middleweight and welterweight weight classes. du Plessis has also fought in the Polish-based promotion Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW), where he was the Welterweight Champion. With a professional career that started in 2013, Du Plessis has established himself as one of the best fighters active on the UFC roster.
