Anthony Smith is an experienced professional mixed martial artist from America who currently competes in the light heavyweight division of the UFC. Before getting signed by the premier professional mixed martial arts promotion, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Anthony Smith fought in different professional mixed martial arts promotions after making his debut including the Strikeforce and Bellator MMA.

On February 29, 2008, Anthony Smith made his professional mixed martial arts debut against Dave Moran at Victory FC 22: Ascension. He won by a second-round submission and started his career with a win. After amassing a record of 18 wins and 10 losses, Anthony Smith joined the UFC and faced Antonio Braga Neto in his promotional debut on June 8, 2013, at UFC on Fuel TV: Nogueira vs.Werdum. Smith lost the fight by a first-round submission and was released by the UFC.

Anthony Smith returned to the octagon on February 21, 2016, at UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Cowboy against Leonardo Augusto Guimaraes. He won the fight by a unanimous decision and since then has been regularly competing in the promotion. Anthony Smith is currently ranked as the No. 10 ranked fighter in UFC’s light heavyweight rankings. He is scheduled to take on Roman Dolidze at UFC 303: Pereira vs. Prochazka in his upcoming fight on June 29, 2024.
