Jennifer Maia made her professional mixed martial arts debut against Suelen Pinheiro Ribeiro on December 5, 2009. She has since then cruised on to amass a total of 32 fights to her record which include victories by knockout and submission. Before signing to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, she competed in multiple promotions like Invicta FC.

Jennifer Maia joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2018 and made. Her debut for the promotion in a showdown against Liz Carmouche at UFC Fight Night: dos Santos vs. Ivanov.
