Oleksandr Usyk is an iconic Ukrainian professional boxer who competes in the heavyweight division as a professional. Having fought at two weight classes and won multiple championships, Usyk is considered one of the best professional heavyweight boxers active today. Usyk made history by outclassing Anthony Joshua in 2021 and becoming one of the three boxers to unify the cruiserweight titles and win a heavyweight championship alongside Evander Holyfield and David Haye.


Before becoming a professional boxer Oleksandr Usyk competed on the amateur circuit where he won multiple accolades besides earning acclaim for his performance. He brought curtains on his amateur career with an impressive record of 335 wins and 15 losses. After retiring from amateur boxing Oleksandr Usyk eventually transitioned to professional boxing.


On November 9, 2013, Oleksandr Usyk made his debut as a professional boxer. He was welcomed inside the squared circle by Felipe Romero in a six-round fight. Usyk dispatched Romero by a fifth-round TKO to win the fight and start his professional career on a winning note.


Since his debut, Oleksandr Usyk has been dominating his opponents in the ring and has won the undisputed cruiserweight championship (2018-19), the unified heavyweight championship, and the Ring magazine championship. As of date, he remains an undefeated professional boxer with a record of 21 wins and 0 losses which include 14 knockouts.
