Rodrigo Nascimento is a promising heavyweight professional mixed martial artist currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He started learning martial arts as a teenager under the tutelage of Everton Rabelo de Andrade, a martial arts trainer. Rodrigo Nascimento made his professional mixed martial arts debut on March 24, 2012, against Cicero Augusto at Full House Fight Night. He won the fight via a first-round TKO and started his career on a dominant note with an aggressive finish. Nascimento dominated all his rivals in his first six professional fights and finished them via submissions and knockouts while fighting in different professional mixed martial arts promotions in Brazil.

Owing to his impeccable performances, Rodrigo Nascimento got an opportunity to appear at Dana White’s Contender Series 22 on July 30, 2019, against Michal Martinek. He defeated Martinek via first-round submission and earned himself a UFC contract. Nascimento made his promotional debut for the promotion on May 16, 2020, at UFC on ESPN: Overeem vs. Harris against Don’Tale Mayes. He finished Mayes by a second-round submission and continued his momentum in the promotion.

Rodrigo Nascimento suffered his only professional loss to date against Chris Daukaus on October 11, 2020, at UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen. He is now scheduled to take on the UFC heavyweight knockout machine Derrick Lewis on May 11, 2024, at UFC on ESPN: Lewis vs. Nascimento.
