Which bout did Sergei Pavlovich lose?

Sergei Pavlovich was defeated by Alistair Overeem via technical knockout at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Ngannou 2 in November 2018. It is one of the only two bouts that Pavlovich lost in his total of 20 matches, winning 18 of them - 15 by knockout and 3 by decision. Within the first minute of the fight, Overeem appeared to be stunned by a looping right hand that was delivered by Pavlovich, who entered the fight patiently.

But Overeem was quick to adapt, routinely delivering knees to the Russian as he worked inside the clinch. Later, Pavlovich found himself up against the cage, but he was able to switch places with Overeem. One minute and forty-five seconds into the opening round, Overeem executed a takedown that forced Pavlovich to fight off his back.

Overeem's hammer fists on the ground proved to be at a level that Pavlovich appeared unfamiliar with, although Pavlovich did manage to defend himself against the early onslaught by keeping his guard raised. Seeing that Pavlovich was no longer able to defend himself on the ground, the referee was compelled to declare a stoppage of the fight.

Pavlovich's second loss came against Tom Aspinall on November 11, 2023, where he lost via a first-round KO.
