Cameron secured a silver medal as an amateur in the light-welterweight category at the 2010 EU Championships in Keszthely, Hungary. In addition, in the lightweight division at the 2011 EU Championships in Katowice, Poland, she claimed a bronze medal after losing to Ireland's Katie Taylor in the semi-finals.


In 2017, Chantelle Cameron entered the professional boxing scene by signing with Cyclone Promotions under Barry McGuigan. Her debut match, guided by Shane McGuigan, took place on May 26, 2017, in Cardiff, Wales, where she secured a six-round points decision victory against Karina Kopinska. Cameron continued her success with technical knockout wins in July and October against Bojana Libiszewska and Bilitis Gaucher, respectively. On November 11, 2017, she clinched the vacant IBO Inter-Continental female super-featherweight title with a third-round TKO victory over Edith Ramos in Edinburgh, Scotland.


In November 2022, Chantelle Cameron achieved a milestone in Abu Dhabi by defeating Jessica McCaskill. This win not only secured Cameron's status as the undisputed world light-welterweight champion but also marked her as the first undisputed female boxing world champion from the United Kingdom. Currently, Chantelle Cameron holds an undefeated professional record of 18 wins to no losses (18-0-0). Cameron is currently gearing up for her rematch against Katie Taylor on November 25, 2023.
