Stamp Fairtex had to dig deep to come out victorious against Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak at ONE Fight Night 6: Superbon vs Allazov on Prime Video last week. After all, the former two-sport world champion had to weather adversity both on and off the circle.
She was initially tapped to face Anissa Meksen in the promotion’s first-ever women’s mixed rules bout. However, Meksen pulled out at the last minute resulting in a new opponent being offered to Stamp. Being a consummate professional, Stamp agreed to the kickboxing match despite being dwarfed by the 19-year-old striking savant. Supergirl took it to Stamp in the opening frame, battering her with hard shots to the head and body.
The 25-year-old Thai star displayed the true heart of a champion and turned the tides in rounds 2 and 3. After three hard-fought rounds, Stamp emerged as the victor via a split decision in a razor-close contest.

So, what’s next for Stamp after that inspiring come-from-behind victory over Supergirl?
Here are her options:
#1. Clash with Anissa Meksen for the interim ONE women’s atomweight kickboxing world title
After the heated back-and-forth between Stamp and Meksen, it was such a disappointment that their fight did not materialize.
Then again, the promotion's CEO, Chatri Sityodtong, already announced a massive world title match-up between these two rivals before their supposed clash at ONE Fight Night 6. Sityodtong said that he’s targeting an interim women’s atomweight kickboxing world championship match between Stamp and Meksen in February or March.
Considering their initial showdown did not push through, this is a fight every combat sports fan wants to see. Quite frankly, it’s a match that needs to happen, given the discord between the two. Then again, Stamp is reportedly furious with Meksen for pulling out of their fight and may no longer accept this scenario.
#2. Rematch with Janet Todd or Allycia-Hellen Rodrigues
In the event that Stamp vs. Meksen falls apart for a second time, she can still face two of the best female strikers in the world today. Shortly after beating Supergirl, the Thai megastar made it clear that she wanted to avenge her earlier losses to Janet Todd and Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.
The opponents on Stamp’s wishlist are slated for an atomweight Muay Thai world title unification bout at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video this March.
She could potentially face the winner of this match in a bid to reclaim her lost Muay Thai throne.
#3. Return to MMA
After previously competing in striking-exclusive matches, Stamp made a triumphant move to mixed martial arts, where she has accumulated a 9-2 record so far.
The Fairtex gym star has already fought Angela Lee for the women’s atomweight world title and is currently ranked first in the division.
While a rematch with Lee seems far-fetched at the moment, there are several interesting match-ups for her in the top 5. Fellow contenders like Ham Seo Hee, Denice Zamboanga, and Tiffany Teo all pose intriguing challenges for Stamp.
