When Donald Trump's niece talked about Joe Rogan's public influence despite having "the IQ of a turnip"

Joe Rogan was once criticized by Donald Trump's niece, Mary Trump. The incident took place on an older episode of The Mary Trump Show podcast, where she spoke to actress and comedian Kathy Griffin, who is well-known for her distaste of the former 45th United States president.

The video in which they lambasted Rogan was made exclusive to subscribers of Mary's The Good In Us newsletter on her substack. However, a clip of the conversation between Mary and Griffin has been making the rounds on X, with their criticism of Rogan being key.

"Disinformation is very powerful and it's everywhere, especially when we're all so siloed. So, there's no competing narrative, there's nothing challenging. And also people want to hear what they want, what fits in with their beliefs. Yeah, anyway, yes. The idea that somebody like Joe Rogan, who has the IQ of a turnip is so influential is kind of terrifying."

Mary also has a fairly contentious relationship with her uncle, having even filed a lawsuit against him at one point. She will likely have much to say now that Rogan has welcomed Donald on the latest JRE episode. The UFC color commentator was previously linked to another American politician.

The Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, was reportedly interested in appearing on Rogan's podcast as well. However, she has apparently opted against doing so due to scheduling conflicts.

Joe Rogan didn't always have a positive relationship with Donald Trump

Not long ago, Joe Rogan praised Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was an independent presidential candidate. However, following backlash from Republicans and even Donald Trump himself, Rogan took to X to assert that his praise of Kennedy was not an official endorsement.

"For the record, this isn't an endorsement. This is me saying I like RFKjr as a person, and I really appreciate the way he discusses things with civility and intelligence. I think we could use more of that in the world. I also think Trump raising his fist and saying "fight!" after getting shot is one of the most American f***ing things of all time."

For now, Rogan has salvaged his reputation in the right-wing American political sphere, especially in the wake of Trump turning up on his podcast.
