Elon Musk once lost $3.1 billion in Tesla stock after smoking marijuana and sipping drinks on Joe Rogan's podcast while discussing a plethora of topics with the UFC commentator. Musk also admitted that he's not a regular user of marijuana and "almost never" smoked.
During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast (JRE #1169) in September 2018, Musk joined Rogan for an extended conversation, and the two discussed a variety of topics ranging from drug use to living in a simulation. During their chat, Musk smoked some cigar-rolled weed with tobacco and sipped on whisky. While his actions were technically legal in the state of California, it appears his shareholders weren't so happy.
In the immediate aftermath, Tesla's stock fell a whopping 6.3%, causing a drop in valuation. A total of $3.1 billion was wiped off. Musk's JRE appearance coincided with the then-CAO's resignation, which seemingly made things worse. During the podcast, Musk admitted:

"I'm not a regular smoker of weed. Almost never. I don't actually notice any effect. I know a lot of people like weed, and that's fine. However, I don't find it's very good for productivity."

Joe Rogan and guest express surprise at Elon Musk's gaming prowess
Joe Rogan recently discussed Elon Musk's gaming abilities with Duncan Trussell during a recent JRE episode (#2247). The two expressed awe at the billionaire's ability to run his companies while maintaining his position as one of the top players of the Diablo 4 online game.
During their conversation, Trussell gave Rogan a hint about how difficult it was to become a top-ranked Diablo player and wondered how Musk could do it while handling companies like Tesla, SpaceX, and X. He said:
"It is insane. When I was addicted to that f***ing game, I just wasn't sleeping because I had to do dad duty in the day, Diablo at night. And I was... I sucked! So when you realize this guy [Elon Musk] is shooting rockets into space. Making e-vehicles, starting a new f***ing department of the government is also the top [Diablo player]."
