Joe Rogan once likened Elon Musk’s Tesla robot to the futuristic world of 'I, Robot'. The UFC commentator shows a clear curiosity to explore intricate subjects in science and technology. This fascination is evident in his renowned podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, where he regularly hosts leading scientists and experts to delve into these topics in depth.

During an episode of his podcast featuring Dr. Debra Soh in January (via Moneywise), Rogan reacted to a video showcasing Tesla's Optimus Gen 2 robot, where the humanoid machine demonstrated its capabilities, including finger movement, walking, squatting, and carefully handling an egg.

The stand-up comedian was clearly fascinated yet cautious, drawing parallels to the advanced concepts in Will Smith's 2004 sci-fi film:

"God damn it, Elon, what are you doing? This is 'I, Robot'. Wow! This is nuts… I love the fact that it can extend its fingers; it moves its hands exactly like a person does... I’ll tell you what Optimus will do next — it’s going to come out of an aircraft carrier, thousands of them, with machine guns."

In a May episode of his show with American actor Duncan Trussell, both Rogan and his guest wore Tesla Optimus costumes to humorously emphasize the growing concerns surrounding the intersection of artificial intelligence and robotics. Their choice of attire reflected their ambivalence toward the future of technology and its evolving role in society.

When Joe Rogan fired heavy arrow at Elon Musk’s Tesla Cybertruck to test its durability

During an October 2023 episode of the JRE podcast with Elon Musk, Joe Rogan explored the advanced features of the Tesla Cybertruck. As they discussed the all-electric pickup, the two engaged in a lighthearted wager, debating whether an 80-pound bow and arrow could pierce the vehicle's futuristic exterior.

Rogan argued that the arrow would penetrate the truck's side, while Musk confidently disagreed, asserting it wouldn’t. In the end, the SpaceX CEO proved to be right, as the arrow ricocheted off the Cybertruck's exoskeleton.
