Luke Rockhold's appearance on 'The Millionaire Matchmaker' dating show on Jan. 22, 2015 yielded one of the most awkward moments of the former UFC middleweight champion's public life. On episode six of season 8, Rockhold was originally paired with Marysol Patton.
Unfortunately for her, he appeared to have more chemistry with Kara, who worked as the mixologist for the show's host and matchmaker, Patti Stanger. Naturally, the two went on a date, which Kara described somewhat positively. She did, however, recount an eyebrow-raising moment when speaking to Stanger thereafter.
Not only did Rockhold ask her a distasteful question, he appeared to take some physical liberties on a yacht.
"Well, the date went really well. In the beginning... He was a little disrespectful. He was like, 'Kara, do you spit or swallow?' And I was just like, 'Excuse me?'"

The UFC ex-middleweight champion's appearance on the dating show marked one of several detours he's taken from MMA. He has also worked as a model, but ultimately returned to the octagon in pursuit of more championship gold after a brutal 1-3 rough patch that saw him suffer three knockouts.
Unfortunately, his return was less than triumphant, as he lost to Paulo Costa via unanimous decision to go 1-4 in his last five fights, before promptly retiring from MMA due to his age. However, he has since returned to combat sports, losing to Mike Perry in a BKFC bout, where his front teeth were smashed.
In more recent news, he TKO'd Joe Schilling at Karate Combat 45 on April 20, 2024, and lost to Pat Downey via decision in the Craig Jones invitational grappling event.
Luke Rockhold previously dated a millionaire
While Luke Rockhold, didn't have much success on 'The Millionaire Matchmaker,' he did date an actual millionaire a year later in singer and actress Demi Lovato. Their relationship only lasted a few months, but was defined by early shows of devotion.
The pair got matching tattoos on their fingers, but ultimately parted ways for one reason or another. Despite continuing to test the waters of the dating field, Rockhold has struggled to settle down.
