Joe Rogan once disclosed his preference for being high around his daughters, believing it helps him better understand them. The veteran UFC commentator stands as one of the most vocal and passionate advocates for marijuana and psychedelics.

Known for seamlessly weaving his endorsements into his comedy shows and podcasts, he consistently champions the benefits of these substances. Rogan, ever familiar with the spotlight of controversy, once stirred the pot with a startling confession about using drugs in the presence of his children.

During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience in June 2023, the 56-year-old podcaster delved into the positive effects of hallucinogenic drugs with award-winning psychedelic researcher Amanda Fielding.

Rogan admitted that staying high around his children makes him feel like an even better parent compared to when he is sober:

"People don’t like this, but I’m going to say it, anyway. I like to be high around my children because when I’m around my children, I’m fascinated by them, and things that may be frustrating, perhaps if I was sober instead, are charming. I find them interesting, and I’m fascinated by their mindset and talking to them."

Though Rogan typically keeps his private life under wraps, it's well-known that he and his wife have three daughters. Lola, born in 2008, and Rosy, born in 2010, are their biological children. The couple also has an adopted daughter, Kayja Rose, who is the eldest of the trio.

Joe Rogan jokes about the perks of being a father to daughters

During a recent episode of his podcast with Sebastian Junger as a guest, Joe Rogan humorously shared his thoughts on why he feels fortunate to have daughters instead of sons.

Rogan explained that he believes the universe did him a favor by giving him daughters, as raising a son would involve trying to keep him out of trouble and ensuring he follows a disciplined path.

The UFC color commentator said he faces unique challenges and experiences that differ significantly from raising boys:

"I have all girls, so they're mad at me for stuff that doesn't even make sense... I've got a 14 and 16 and then a grown one, 27 year old... They're just different. It's just women and girls are just different."

He added:

"I think the universe did me a solid by giving me only daughters because you have a different perspective hanging - like, if I had a son, I'd be like, 'Oh, I got to keep this f**king savage out of jail' because I'm passing my genes."
