When Joe Rogan quickly shut down Bobby Lee for mocking Brendan Schaub’s fighting style during their "dumbest fight scene ever" discussion

UFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan and former UFC heavyweight fighter Brendan Schaub have been friends for quite a long time. The two have often said good things about each other on podcasts and in the media.

One such instance occurred when Rogan had comedian Bobby Lee on The Joe Rogan Experience in 2024. At one point, the two individuals were discussing Star Trek and Rogan said:

"[Star Trek's] so corny. Like, if you watch it today, it's gone to this point where it becomes funny. It's parody. There's a scene where Captain Kirk has a fight with a lizard man on a planet... it's the dumbest fight scene ever."

Rogan and Lee then proceeded to watch the aforementioned scene from Star Trek when the latter took a dig at Schaub, saying:

"He fights like Brendan Schaub a little bit."

This prompted Rogan to respond by defending Schaub's skills as a fighter. Rogan said:

"Brendan Schaub is a good fighter. You better shut your mouth. He knocked out Mirko Cro Cop."

Schaub is a former MMA fighter with a 10-5 record. 'Big Brown' had 11 fights in the UFC but managed to win only six of them. During his UFC tenure, Schaub shared the octagon with the likes of Roy Nelson, Mirko Cro Crop, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Matt Mittrione, Andrei Arlovski and Travis Browne.

Joe Rogan speaks about Shavkat Rakhmonov on his podcast

Joe Rogan recently had comedians Chris Distefano and Yannis Pappas on The Joe Rogan Experience. At one point during their conversation, the three individuals spoke about ancient people who had large heads and were believed to eat horses.

Rogan then brought up Shavkat Rakhmonov's name and shared how the welterweight also likes to eat horse meat. He said:

"A lot of people eat horses, man. Shavkat Rakhmonov, the number one contender in the welterweight division, says it's his favorite food. Yeah, he's from Kazakhstan. He rides horses and he eats horses."
