Amanda Serrano’s last loss was against Katie Taylor on April 30, 2022. This was the second defeat of Amanda Serrano's professional boxing career. Billed as "the biggest fight in the history of women's boxing." this match took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It concluded with Katie Taylor winning a split decision to maintain her undisputed lightweight champion status. The fight was intense from the get-go, with Serrano increasing her pressure in the early rounds and nearly scoring a knockdown in the fifth round. Taylor, however, managed to survive and regain her composure.

After the intense early rounds, Taylor took control of the fight, landing clean combinations and outperforming Serrano. Despite the competitive nature of the match, Taylor secured the decision victory with scorecards of 97-93 and 96-93, while Serrano received one card at 96-94. The two fighters are scheduled to square off once again on November 16, 2024.

Amanda Serrano First Loss

Amanda Serrano’s first defeat occurred all the way back in 2012 when she faced former WBC super-featherweight champion Frida Wallberg, who was an undefeated fighter from Sweden. They met in Wallberg's home country on April 27, 2012, after Serrano's dominant win over Ela Nunez in February 2012.

The bout between Serrano and Wallberg was a spectacular exhibition of striking skills. Both fighters had their moments in the match, with Serrano taking control in the later rounds. However, after a hard-fought 10-round battle, the judges awarded the victory to Frida Wallberg with scores of 96-94, 97-93, and 98-92. Despite the setback, Serrano vowed to come back stronger in her post-fight interview.
