Tatiana Suarez is an American mixed martial artist. Tatiana Yadira Suarez Padilla, of Mexican origin, was born on December 19, 1990, in Covina, California, United States. As her older brother wrestled, she began to wrestle at four.

At 55 kg in 2011, Suarez was the top wrestler in the United States. Tatiana Suarez received a thyroid cancer diagnosis in 2012 while preparing for the Summer Olympics. She had to stop her training so she could receive radiation treatment. Suarez began training in jiu-jitsu once she recovered, which helped her transition from fighter to mixed martial artist.

Suarez started practicing mixed martial arts in 2013, and in February 2014, she made her amateur ring debut by defeating Elizabeth Rodriguez through a technical knockout in the first round. She fought again before opting to go pro and won unanimously over Jessica Pryor.

Tatiana suffered a significant neck injury while training for the 2012 Olympics. The MRI and CAT scan after the injury showed a slipped disc and a cancerous mass on her thyroid.

Tatiana survived cancer by undergoing radiation therapy and removing her thyroid and several lymph nodes. After a series of successful treatment procedures, Tatiana returned to training for the Gladiator Challenge competition in 2014. She got into Brazilian jiu-jitsu post-cancer, which led her to discover MMA. Tatiana hasn’t looked back since then.

In the Gladiator Challenge competition in July 2014, Suarez made her victorious MMA debut by decisively defeating Tyra Parker. She made a comeback in April 2015 but was defeated by Carolina Alvarez of Armbar in the opening round. When she previously participated in the promotion in August 2015, she won a technical knockout victory over Arlene Koban in the second round. Due to this triumph, she won the Gladiator Challenge title in the California State Championship Series.

In February 2023, at UFC Vegas 70, Tatiana Suarez defeated Montana De La Rosa by submission.
